FCSA Takes Center Stage as Proud Sponsor of 2026 FCSC+SCS

October 26, 2026 — The Florida Charter School Alliance (FCSA) is proud to serve as a sponsor of the 2026 Florida Charter School Conference + School Choice Summit (FCSC+SCS), bringing together education leaders, school operators, educators, and advocates from across the state to share ideas, explore innovative solutions, and advance school choice.  The conference — presented by the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Independent Education and Parental Choice and the Florida Education Foundation –  is scheduled for November 17-19, 2026, at the Caribe Royale Conference Center in Orlando, Florida.  Registration information can be found here.

The FCSA team invites conference attendees to visit Booth 601 in the Exhibit Hall to connect with our team, learn more about Alliance initiatives, and discover resources and opportunities available to support Florida’s public charter schools.

FCSA will also take the stage for three engaging sessions focused on strengthening school communities and addressing some of the most important challenges facing school leaders today:

On Wednesday, November 18, the FCSA will host the 3rd Annual Teacher of the Year celebration.  The event is made possible by the generous sponsorship donation of True North Classical Academy, Foundation for Florida’s Future, Academica, Building Hope, Florida Charter Institute, and Cognia. At the reception, three FCSA Teacher of the Year finalists —  selected from a statewide community of more than 20,000 charter school educators — will be recognized for their contributions to fostering a culture of learning that supports all students.  The finalists are:  Maria Franco, Downtown Doral Charter Schools; Sally Garcia, Somerset Boca East; and Maria Patricia Chirino, Renaissance Charter School at Cypress.  The educator named FCSA Teacher of the Year will represent the Florida charter school movement as a nominee in the Florida Department of Education’s Florida Teacher of the Year program and gala, scheduled for July 2027.  Last year’s FCSA Teacher of the Year, Nicole Leon, was named a finalist for the FLDOE Teacher of the Year program.

“We are excited to connect with charter and private school leaders and education advocates from across Florida, share strategies that strengthen our schools, and continue advancing the school choice movement in the Sunshine State,” said Lynn Norman-Teck, FCSA Executive Director.

Make plans to visit Booth 601 and join us for these informative sessions. We look forward to seeing you at FCSC+SCS!
