Who can provide school-based mental health services?

September 2018 – The information below is taken from the Student Support Services Project newsletter released by the Florida Department of Education.  See the report for information about your responsibility under the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act (SB 7026) and page 10 for details outlining who can provide school-based Mental Health Services to your students.

From the report:

The Student Support Services Project team has been actively promoting comprehensive school-based mental health services and providing technical assistance and guidance regarding implementation of mental health assistance allocation plans.
