Pemayetv Eahakv (Our Way) Charter School, and Viera Charter School were named Florida Schools of Excellence
Charter School Associates (CSA), a leading education management organization, is proud to announce that five of its schools have been designated as a Florida School of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education. This esteemed recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, faculty, staff, and leadership at each campus.
The five schools recognized for their outstanding achievement are:
- Bell Creek Academy – Grades 6-12 (Hillsborough County)
- Sunlake Academy of Math and Science – Grades K-8 (Hillsborough County)
- Valrico Academy – Grades K-5 (Hillsborough County)
- Pemayetv Emahakv Charter School – Grades K-8 (Glades County)
- Viera Charter School – Grades K-8 (Brevard County)
The School of Excellence designation is granted to schools that consistently demonstrate excellent academic performance. To qualify, a school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation must be in the 80th percentile or higher for schools with the same grade groupings for at least two of the last three school years.

All our schools emphasize scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and mathematics, utilizing a STEM based curriculum. They also prioritize strong character development, guiding students to become confident, thoughtful, and creative learners throughout their educational journey and beyond.
