Building Hope Awarded $8 Million from Department of Education

October 16, 2017 — Building Hope is pleased to announce the award of an $8 million Credit Enhancement Grant from the Department of Education. The funds will be used to support early-stage charter schools with lease and loan guarantees.

Since Building Hope’s inception in 2003, the non-profit has provided over $230 million in investments to over 200 schools. This has helped create opportunities for over 77,000 predominantly low-income, and minority students to receive a quality education across the country.
“Our organization is so pleased to have the opportunity to continue to support the education and thus future of charter school students, nationwide. We are excited to use this grant to launch innovative programs and continue backing our charter school partners,” Building Hope President Joe Bruno said.
