We are seeking an innovative and engaging Digital Discoveries Teacher to provide instruction to 6th-grade students in technology literacy, digital citizenship, coding fundamentals, and computer-based problem-solving. The ideal candidate will foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking while preparing students with foundational digital skills for future academic success.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards for Digital Discoveries.
Teach foundational concepts in digital literacy, keyboarding, coding, multimedia creation, and online safety.
Create a positive and technology-rich classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
Assess student learning through projects, assignments, and classroom activities.
Integrate hands-on technology tools and digital resources into instruction.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
Support school technology initiatives and assist with student technology-based projects.
Sponsor or support technology clubs, coding activities, or STEM-related events when applicable.
Assist with school-wide events, testing administration, and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
Valid teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification preferred.
Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
Knowledge of educational technology platforms, coding basics, and digital learning tools.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Strong instructional planning and classroom management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and educational technology platforms.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Work is performed primarily in a classroom and school setting.
Requires adherence to school calendar, instructional hours, and occasional after-school meetings or events.
Frequent use of computers, classroom technology, and digital devices.
Frequent interaction with students, staff, parents, and community members.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the school day.
Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and reach as needed.
Ability to lift and carry instructional materials or technology equipment up to 15–20 pounds.
Ability to use a computer and other technology for extended periods.
Visual and auditory ability to monitor classroom activities and communicate effectively.
