On September 12, the students and faculty at Somerset Prep Sunset in Miami-Dade County held a ceremony in observance of the tragedy of 9/11. Students participated by sharing a song, drawing, poem, or essay reflecting on the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, followed by a moment of silence for the fallen of 9/11.
Dr. Daniel Menendez, a Somerset Prep parent, spoke about his experience living in New York when attacks occurred, and treating many who were injured.
