Poll results show voter support tax increase to fund education facilities

Hillsborough, FL – September 1, 2017 – A recent poll of Hillsborough-area registered voters found that there is great support for improving education facilities using tax dollars.

Close to 60% of the people polled said they support the school district leasing private facilities to accommodate a growing student population, and 63% would support a property tax increase in order to fund upgrades to existing education facilities.

Survey results show that both Democrats and Republicans support a tax increase to fund upgrades to existing education facilities in the county.

Conducted by National Victory Strategies of Boynton Beach by telephone with live professional interviewers, the poll reached more than 300 registered voters in Hillsborough County from July 20 to 22, 2017. Interview selection was random from within a predetermined group of likely primary election voters in Hillsborough County. Samples were taken evenly throughout Hillsborough, and groups were structured to correlate with the demographic breakdown of the area while also taking voter habits into account.
