Competition encourages students to tell their ed choice story

October 19, 2017 – Here is an amazing opportunity for charter school students and families to win up to $15,000 by simply sharing their school choice experience. All you need is a smartphone and a few minutes to share a great story!
Students, guardians or alumni of existing choice programs (public school/open enrollment, charter, magnet, private school, virtual/blended, or homeschool), or a person who wants more educational choice in their state are encouraged to participate.  The competition consist of a short video that highlights how educational choices have made a difference for students and their families or why we need more educational opportunities in our state. 
The Choices in Education video competition will not only highlight your personal story, but also inform and inspire others about the benefits of accessing a learning environment that best fits the needs of students. 

The competition is open to students, parents, alumni of existing choice programs or a person who wants more educational choice in their state. 

What: Choices in Education Video Contest                
Prizes:
3 Grand Prize Winners – $15,000 cash prize·               
2 People’s Choice Winners – $5,000 cash prize·                
3 Runners-up – $5,000 cash prize
When: Video submissions will be accepted from October 25 – December 1.
How: Film a short video (under two minutes) that tells the story of how your educational choices have made a difference for you and your family.
