Charter School Students Participate in #Midterms2018 via Mock Elections, Classroom Activities

Florida’s K-12 charter school students may know more about the Midterm Elections than you think.  As we were monitoring election day activities on social media, we noticed that many schools were posting photos of students voting and participating in election-related classroom activities.  Leading up to November 6th, students not only learned about democracy and current events, but also got a chance to talk about the candidates and issues important to them, and cast a ballot.

Here are some images from around the state of future voters, elected leaders, and informed citizens.  Images borrowed from PM Wells Charter School, Somerset Jefferson, Renaissance Charter School at Tradition, Kids Community College Orange, Mater Brighton Lakes, and Ben Gamla Charter School Boynton Beach.
